Do you teach auto or manual?     Automatic

Can I use my foreign license as a learners license? The law is that in most cases you can. You will have to check with the Queensland Department of Transport to check your particular circumstances.

What hours are you available for lessons? Monday to Thursday 7:00 to 2:00

Can I use your car for the test? Our cars are available for my students to test in.

Will I be allowed to test in bare feet? Yes, but not in thongs or socks.

How long does a practical driving test take? 25 to 35 minutes

How long does it take to get a driving test appointment? In Maroochydore its 3 to 5 weeks usually but you can watch for cancellations and often pick one up earlier.

Can I book my test before my log book is approved? Yes, It takes up to 10 days to get approved and 3 to 5 weeks to get a test appointment so go ahead make the appointment, you can postpone your test or get your money back if it doesn’t get approved.

Can I submit my log book before I turn 17? Yes, but you must be 17 and have had your learners for 12 months before you can do your practical test.

I’ve heard its possible to get a log book exemption under certain conditions, is that true? Yes, you can apply for an exemption if you do not have a supervisor available to support your learning. You have to have had your learners for at least 2 years. It costs about $35 dollars to apply and you can do that online and it may take a couple of months to come through.

Late cancellations leave your instructor with no income. A fee of $35 will apply when a lesson is cancelled with in 48 hours of the scheduled lesson time.

Common Myths  You have so stop for 3 seconds at a stop sign.  No but you do have to come to a complete stop.

You can use a Queensland Transport car for your test. They don’t offer that service.

They are going to put log book requirements up to 200 hours. No truth to this rumor that goes around every year.
